Jacob deceived his dad, Isaac and brother, Esau to receive the blessing from Isaac. He then fled to Nahor since Esau wanted to kill him. God Keeps his covenant regardless Jacob’s sin. When God spoke to him in Bethel, Jacob was revered as he knew he was sinful man and God was there. Jacob then repented and promised to worship God.
