As we all know and what bible have told us that Christ has died on the cross to bear our sins. According to the scripture that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day and he appeared to Peter and then to the twelve disciples.
Mary Magdalene one of the follower of Jesus Christ, shown us the fact that Jesus was crucified on a cross on Friday afternoon, his body was quickly put inside the tomb and with the stone has been placed to block the entrance. Mary was deeply saddened by the death of beloved teacher.
Very early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone has been moved away from the entrance. Therefore, she went running to Simon Peter and the other disciple whom Jesus loved and told them, “they have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him”. Then Peter and the other disciple set out to go the tomb.
The two were running together, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and reached the tomb first. Then Simon Peter, who have been following him arrived and went in to the tomb. He saw nothing there other than strips of lines cloth lying there and the face cloth that covers Jesus head, not lying with the strips of linen cloth but rolled up in a place by itself. Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, came in and he saw and believed (for they did not yet understand the scripture that Jesus must rise from the dead) so the disciples went back to their homes.
But Mary Magdalene, still stood outside the tomb and crying and weeping. As she wept, she bent down and looked into the tomb. She saw the two angels in white sitting where Jesus body had been lying one at the head and the other at the feet. They said to her, woman, why are you weeping? Mary replied because they have taken my Lord away, and I do not know where they put him. When she said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there and she did not know that man was Jesus.
Jesus said to her, “woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?” Because Mary thought he was a gardener, she said to him Sir if you have carried him away, please tell me where you put him and I will take him. Jesus said to her, “Mary” She turned and said to him in Aramaic, “Rabboni” (means teacher) Right away, Mary knew who was speaking, it was Jesus! The sorrow that Mary had before was faded away and her heart filled with joy at the sight of the risen Lord. She fell at his feet and cried, Teacher, but Jesus replied “Do not touch me for I have not yet ascended to my Father. Go to my brothers and tell them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God” Mary Magdalene quickly informed the disciples, I’ve see the Lord she said and she told them what Jesus had said to her earlier.
On the evening of that day, first day of the week, Jesus disciples had gathered together and locked the doors of the place because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Jesus came and stood among them and said to them “Peace be with you” When he said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples shouted with joy when they saw the Lord. They talked about all the wonderful things that had happened that day. They said Jesus had walked and talked with them and that they had even eaten a meal together in the town of Emmaus. Luke 24:34 – The Lord has really risen and has appeared to Simon!

Therefore, children we are blessed to have risen savior our Lord Jesus Christ. As we know the bible story above have told us Jesus has appeared in the middle of the group… why Jesus could do that? Because his resurrection body is not limited like our physical body on earth and is not the same like our ordinary human body like the rest of us. The risen Lord had a new resurrection body that could appear anywhere, anytime even passing through the locked doors. Jesus Christ our risen Lord has defeated death therefore fear no longer gripped the disciples and risen Lord has set them free. Sin is no longer abide in them when they believed and trust Jesus Christ is the only savior of their life. Because only Jesus Christ the son of God enabled us to reconcile with our God Father and He had proved it by dying on the cross for the sins of his people, and God raise him from the dead so that whoever believes in Him would not perish but have eternal life.
There are important points for us to take note is to believe and trust that Jesus Christ is our risen Lord and savior, to thank God for the salvation that He has given through Jesus Christ, To really acknowledge Jesus rose from the dead just as he said he would and has been proved in the history. What a privilege that we have as God’s children. The good news is not stop there God’s disciples has been spreading around the good news that Jesus was the Savior and risen Lord. Then children, we could do the same as we have received the good news, the joy and faith in our hearts we will share this good news to our friends and family who have heard the good news of Jesus our savior and risen Lord!
