Solve the cipher and decorate the heart
Bahan Alkitab: Matthew 5: 43-38
One day Jesus walked up to the mountain side and sat down, he was teaching out on a hillside. We call his lesson that day The Sermon on the Mount. “You have heard that you should love your neighbours and hate your enemies,” Jesus said. “But I say, love your enemies — and pray for those who persecute you.” Jesus was telling his followers to love those peoples who don’t love them. if someone does mean and hateful things to you, pray for them.
It was when we were still God’s enemies that He demonstrated His love for us. Through Jesus (Romans 5:8) God’s love brought salvation to us. God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. When Jesus was on the cross dying, the pharisees and the guards were mocking Jesus. Jesus never did anything wrong, yet there he was on the cross, not for His sins but for all of our sins. He never said anything hateful back. He said, “Father forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” Jesus just prayed to his father and asked for them to be forgiven. What an example for us! Jesus the son of God already came and He did it. Jesus is the reason we can be forgiven and he is the reason we can forgive others. Jesus loved those who were crucifying Him. And He loves us. Now we are no longer God’s enemies, we are children of God.
Jesus said that He would give us the Holy Spirit to help us to respond with love not with hate or anger, but we pray and ask God to give us strength and power to forgive others who mean to us. Like how God forgave us. Only when God puts his love in our heart, we can obey God to love our enemies just like the way Jesus taught us.
How to love our enemies?
1. Pray for them. Pray to God to change their heart. Praying changes our hearts too.
2. Forgive them. We asked God to help us to put his kindness, tender hearted, forgiveness in our heart. He will
give us the strength to forgive.
3. Never talk badly or revenge towards them and show kindness, demonstrate God’s love to others, be an
example for others as children of God.
4. Teach them about Jesus that God taught us to love our enemies, even when your enemies don’t love us. Jesus
loved us so much that he sacrificed himself for our sins.

Sanctification is a lifetime process is to be set apart or make holy before God.
1 Cor 6:11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

Bible Truth: Jesus took care of the paralyzed man’s great spiritual needs before turning his attention to the man’s physical problems
Lesson Aim: to know that Jesus is God’s Son, that he is able to take care of our physial needs and more important that he has power to forgive our sins
The LORD is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped;

God has given His command to love our enemy but do you realize that actually, we were God’s enemy before.
We do not obey the Lord. We do not respect the Lord but God loves us, his enemy and God even sent His Only Son to die for us so we can be saved. Therefore, we realized that God loves us so much and so we have our position is being changed from God’s enemy become God’s children.
God loves little children very very much. One of the great painting by Mr. Carl Heinrich Bloch shown how Jesus hold the little children dearly while looking at the disciple which from the bible, we knew, Jesus said “Let the little children come to me”
As children of God, we also was given a command to love our enemy, as God has loved us when we were not obeying Him. The source is in the bible where Jesus taught this on the Sermon on the Mount at Matthew 5:44.
Can we as Christian, follow God to do this.
Love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you.
Here is 5 summary to remind all of us why we have to love our enemy :
C – CHILDREN of God – we have received God’s love and we want to channel God’s love to others and also our enemy
D – we are DIFFERENT – if we love others who loves us, what makes us different with the one who is non believer. They also love the one who love them, but since we are children of God we dont come from this world, but from the Lord, we want to copy our God we want to follow God’s command.
E – we were God’s ENEMY – but God love us and God even sent HIS ONLY SON to die for us so we can be saved. God loves us and especially little children very very much. As painting by Mr. Carl Heinrich Bloch that shown God’s love to little children who were God’s enemy
F – God love us FIRST – who love us first, who loves us very very much, is GOD so we, once again, want to follow God
G – GOD is love – GOD loves our enemy too. GOD gives sun and rain to them too. God died for them too therefore we have to love our enemy and pray for them who persecute you
Please remember too that :
1. if you love ME, you obey ME
2. pray and ask God’s help to love our enemy
3. pray for your enemy. Say their name in your prayer
4. if you fail, start again, don’t give up and keep obeying the Lord
5. we live to make God happy. It is God’s will and not our will
6. Joy and peace will be given to the one who obey the Lord
Soli Deo Gloria
Matthew 5: 44
Love you enemy and pray for those who persecute you
Bahan Alkitab: Matthew 5 : 43-48
Menjelaskan arti musuh kepada anak2. Misalkan kamu bawa bola dari rumah, kamu mau main di playground tapi datang seorang anak dia rebut bola kamu lalu dia lari. He said “you can not catch me” you are loser” Kamu panggil2 dia “give me back my ball. Its mine. Why u snatch it.” Tapi dia ttp dia mau balikin. Dia pergi bawa bola kamu dan ga kembali lagi. Anak itu teman atau musuh kamu?
Waktu Yesus hidup, bangsa Israel hidup di bawah pemerintahan kerajaan Roma. Orang2 Roma jahat kepada orang2 Israel. Mereka ambil uang orang2 Israel.
So difficult.. Jesus showed the greatest love on the cross by giving His life to save us from our sins.
Kita semua dulu adalah musuh Tuhan. Kita melawan Tuhan. Kita tidak mau taat kpd Tuhan. Tapi Tuhan mengasihi kita. Kita yang harusnya dihukum tapi Tuhan selamatkan. Yesus Kristus mati menebus dosa2 kita. Skrg kita bukan lagi musuh Tuhan tapi kita semua adalah anak2 Tuhan. We were God’s enemy until God chose to love us and send Jesus to save us. Now we are no longer God’s enemy but we are children of God.
Three things to remember to love your enemy :
Forgive people who are bad to us. Forgive if they may have hit you, took our things, say bad things to us. Just as Jesus forgive our sins, we must forgive others too
Pray to God to remove anger from our heart and pray for our enemy. May God change them and ask God to forgive them.
Your enemy may hurt you but you can still love them. Just as God loves us, we want to love others.
1 John 4 : 7a
Love one another, for love comes from God
Bahan Alkitab: Luke 5:1-11
Simon Peter knew fishing very well. He had fished in the Sea of Galilee all his life. He knew where the fish were (he thought he did). He was exhausted from fishing all night and catching nothing. Then Jesus told Peter to go out into deep water and let down the fishing nets. He OBEYED, by saying ” Master, we have worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything, but because you say so, I will let down the nets.
Peter’s response to their overflowing nets of fish was to fall at Jesus feet and say “Go away from me, Lord, I am a sinful man!” (Peter confessing his sinfulness).
Jesus reveal himself as more than a mere man. He was the Son of God. He is the creator. Peter was overwhelmed by Jesus deity, authority and power.
Jesus call peter to follow Him. Jesus also call us to follow Him. He wants us to follow Him, right where we are. He is looking at our heart. We just have to Trust Him and Obey Him.

For the past few weeks, children have been learning about God’s commandment on how the people of Israel should worship Him, which include the setting apart of the priests, type of sacrifices to offer, and the holy days to keep.
This week children will learn about how God established Tabernacle worship for people of Israel to draw near to Him. However, the animal sacrifice could not take away the sins once-for-all. The people of Israel had to offer a yearly sacrifice on the Day of Atonement because they knew that the animal sacrifice was not perfect and the priests, mere sinners, were not good enough to become mediator. All these pointed forward to the coming of Jesus Christ, the promised Savior.
Children will learn few take away points from the lesson today:
1. We no longer need a tabernacle or animal sacrifice to worship God
2. It is through Jesus Christ that God has made a way for us to freely draw near to him in worship
3. Jesus Christ is our High Priest and he is also the perfect sacrifice for our sins
4. Having our sins forgiven, we should continually offer him our praise, worship, and acts of service and love as spiritual sacrifices that are pleasing to God
We give thanks to God that he has given us Jesus Christ so that we can draw near to him!
but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them
