In this week bible story, we want to encourage the children to learn to trust and seek help from God when they are faced difficulties. We will be emphasizing of God’s Promise that He is with us and when children are faced with difficulties, they can pray to God and ask God for help. This is further reinforced through the story of a missionary named Gladys Alyward. She was called by God to spread the gospel in China. Though face with many difficulties, Gladys continue to trust and depend on God. God guided and helped her in her journey as a missionary in Yang Cheng, China. In particular, we would like to highlight in details two important events in her life – being appointed as the foot inspector and stopping a prison riot as real examples of how God was with her and helped with her to carry out her work as a missionary. Just like how God had used Gladys to share the gospel and help her in her life journey, God can also use these children when they grow up to serve Him and help them overcome difficulties.
