Continuing from last week story about how God took care of Moses when he was born, this week we want to look at how Moses was called by God to save Israelites from Pharaoh cruelty.
The story starts with Moses, as an adult, saw how the Egypt soldier beating the Israelites which triggered Moses to kill the soldier. Moses ran away because Pharaoh wanted to kill him after knowing about Moses killing his soldier. Moses then became a shepherd in wilderness until he was 80 years old when God appeared to him in a burning bush.
God wanted to use Moses to save the Israelites but Moses was afraid and kept arguing that he was not good enough. God gave powerful signs to Moses in order to show that He will guide Moses to face Pharaoh. However, Moses was reluctant and God showed his anger towards Moses. God told Moses that Aaron, who is the brother of Moses, will help Moses.
Today’s story shows one of the example of God’s calling. As Christian, we must understand that His calling is a privilege and we must not avoid or ignore His calling. We must not afraid to walk with God as God will guide us and take care of us.
